Turn off the power at the box. Unscrew the outlet and pry the outlet out of the wall. Untangle the wires of the outlet from the wires in the wall. (They should be twisted together.) Twist the wires of the new outlet into the wires in the wall. Put plastic caps on the twists. Shove it back in the wall and screw it down. Put the outlet cover on it. It takes about 10 minutes to do. It takes about 30 minutes to go the hardware store. If you ask a hardware guy, he will show you all of the stuff you need. [/quote]
