Great Country Farms, Cox Farms, Clark's Ellioak Farm or similar for animals, hayrides etc.

Train stuff - Strasburg Pa or Ellicott City or Baltimore

Colonial and Civil War stuff - Claude Moore Colonial Farm (particularly on Market Faire days) Mount Vernon, Gettysburg, Fort McHenry, Abe Lincoln's Cottage, Monticello, Williamsburg of course, St. Michaels.

Great Falls, Rock Creek Park, Westmoreland State Park

NVRA waterparks - Volcano Island etc. Lots of waterslide and spray park fun without the giant theme park or long drive.
