[quote=Anonymous]OMG. Jim Graham's attempt to get trade his lottery contract vote in exchange for getting a development project awarded to campaign contributor developer LaKritz/Adler is what got Graham in hot water ethics-wise. Jim Graham also allowed LaKritz/Adler to construct an illegal oversize addition onto the rowhouse at 1836 Irving Street several years ago they rammed the construction through and did not get a zoning variance which would have been required for the number of condo units being constructed). Despite assuring concerned neighbors that he was on top of the situation, Graham did nothing to halt the project and then brushed off neighbors' ire by claiming that by that point, action was "too late". Jim Graham told campaign contributor and restauranteur Haydee Vanegas that it was perfectly okay to chop down a public street tree and brick over a public treebox in order to gain more potential outdoor seating for her public space permit application. When DDOT cited Ms. Vanegas for destruction of public property, he called up the head of DDOT and berated him for doing his job. And again---Graham has never done anything for educational issues. He flat out just doesn't care. I will happily vote for Briane. I expect that she will lose, and then I will vote for Bryan Weaver who is supposed to run as an independent in the general election.
