As far as I know, there are no issues with either the non-profit or the PR firm. But, if you believe I've missed something, please provide some facts. It is pretty easy to hint around about allegations that are not factually based. For instance, have you done any research to determine whether Jim Graham has buried dismembered body parts in his basement?

I just looked through Nadeau's and Graham's campaign finance reports. I think the alleged connection of Nadeau is a figment of the earlier poster's imagination, if not an outright lie. I didn't see any contributions to Nadeau from developers. I supposed there could have been some individual contributions from developers whose names I didn't recognize, but I'm familiar with many, if not most, of the developer LLCs and none of them gave her any money. In contrast, Graham's report was full of developer contributions including:

McCullough Construction LLC
Capital Construction Enterprises, INC
2436 18th Street Associates LP
Congressional North Associ LP
DC General Construction Inc
Its My Real Estate LLC
Jair Lynch
LEVEL 2 DEVELOPMENT LLC

This list may include some who are, strictly speaking, not developers. But, they are all involved in development. Moreover, Graham has received a ton of money from companies connected to gas and petroleum.

You can go to ocf.dc.gov yourself and check out the reports. No need to take my word for it (or the word of an anonymous poster who doesn't like the "girl" candidate).

OMG. Jim Graham's attempt to get trade his lottery contract vote in exchange for getting a development project awarded to campaign contributor developer LaKritz/Adler is what got Graham in hot water ethics-wise.

Jim Graham also allowed LaKritz/Adler to construct an illegal oversize addition onto the rowhouse at 1836 Irving Street several years ago they rammed the construction through and did not get a zoning variance which would have been required for the number of condo units being constructed). Despite assuring concerned neighbors that he was on top of the situation, Graham did nothing to halt the project and then brushed off neighbors' ire by claiming that by that point, action was "too late".

Jim Graham told campaign contributor and restauranteur Haydee Vanegas that it was perfectly okay to chop down a public street tree and brick over a public treebox in order to gain more potential outdoor seating for her public space permit application. When DDOT cited Ms. Vanegas for destruction of public property, he called up the head of DDOT and berated him for doing his job.

And again---Graham has never done anything for educational issues. He flat out just doesn't care.

I will happily vote for Briane. I expect that she will lose, and then I will vote for Bryan Weaver who is supposed to run as an independent in the general election.

She is annoying and whiny and admitted herself taht she left her ANC post because she could not meet the challenge fo working with people . That she could not manage her anger and frustration enough to be effective. And you think she will pick up teh phone and call DCRA and " snap" . No, they will laught at her. She is a light wait and a joke and she is being financed because Graham pissed off the developers . THey want a weakly led Ward One that they can exract all teh land value from. Grahm is in their way. THAT is worth bankrolling Breanne.

Umm, I hope you guys realize that Breanne is being funded by developers ….. The same developers who have bought the Mayor and, ver batim, diictated the zoning re-write that wil over the next ten years tax you out of your single family homes !

Breanne's candicacy was announced( and suddenly funded) when Jim Graham started to take teh risk of supporting his constituents against "pop ups" and $650K 1,000 square foot condos in historic neighborhoods ( you know, cut down the trees and put up the dry wall and aluminum siding, build the little boxes then sell them for what t homes used to cost )

Jim Graham fought for the living wage bill and teh developers hate him for it. It isn't enough that Walmart make billions , they have to do it on the backs of people they are too cheap to pay $2 and hour more > These are the people backing Breanne agaisnt Jim Graham. THINK PEOPLE. Jim Graham was building and running Whitman Walker clinic for AIDS patients when Ronald Reagan stll would not say " AIDS" and Breanne was whining like she does now, only in 1st grade…..She a pawn, nothing more , imho

It is time for a change. She is smart and very hard working.

I'm not a Ward 1 resident, but I have contributed to Brianne Nadeau. We need to rid the Council of corruption. Jim Graham was offered a bribe by his chief of staff, refused it, but did not report it or take any action against his chief of staff. His chief of staff later went to jail. There are also big questions about how Graham acted in regard to the city's lottery contract and a Metro development project. Nadeau, on the other hand, has shown a commitment to improving the ward and built a wide base of support. She will add to the McDuffie/Grosso coalition of progressive Council Members. Grosso has even endorsed her.

I am undecided. Help?
