[/quote] Are you sure you're thinking of Murch? It opened in 1929 and has never been renovated. It has no cafeteria or kitchen; breakfast is prepared and eaten in a hallway, and lunch is prepared in the hallway and taken to classrooms. Most classrooms have only two outlets. It's also insanely overcrowded: One-third of the classroom space is temporary. It's the city's second-biggest ES and has half the per-pupil space required by DCPS. So, yes, really. If you don't believe it, come for a tour. I think you'll be surprised.[/quote]
