I agree his education policy is willfully stupid, but it is based entirely on the improvement that has happened in his ward, which he believes can be replicated in the exact same manner everywhere even though housing stock is not going through the roof monumentally with child-focussed neighborhoods in the same manner. Not to say that housing value is not increasing throughout the city, but not in the same manner. Giving neighborhood preference to a charter east or encouraging inboundary participation in schools east of the river is not going to have the same affect as having neighborhood participation in Brent. The poverty needs to be dealt with evenly, and by making it so that these children will be stuck being educated only with those that are also similarly poor, we are completely relegating them to continued poverty.[/quote]
