Reta Jo Lewis has continuously polled at 1%. She is not viable.

I went to Bowser's website. XXX ... .......her plan is buried in long paragraphs. I went to www.retalewisformayor.com. The spelling of her name is why I couldn't find her earlier. Lewis has her plan outlined much better. I want to be informed but I sit on a computer all day at work. I don't have time to read a book. Just spell it out so I can hold you to it!

Jack Evans has done nothing for DCPS, nor would he as mayor.

I heard her say metro cards for kids and a deputy mayor of sorts (person to field concerned/point of contact) She wants Deal to be a model for all schools in DC. These are some of the things I've heard her say. Her over all plan does not seem to be inclusive. I don't like the idea of this deputy mayor. It puts one more person between you and the decision maker. I don't see what she going to do to get a different result. Deal has been a model school for awhile ( while she's been on DC council) yet the kids on the other side of the city still cannot read. Let's be honest Deal is good due to parent involvement. So what's her plan????

What exactly is this Bowser plan? I follow DC politcs very closely, and I have yet to see anything of substance from her.

Gray is very shady. I still can't believe he beat Fenty.
Bowser or Jack evens work their tails of 24/7 for this city.

Both Evans and Bowser have solid plans to improve the city, education (DCPS), housing, small business, taxes....
Anyone but Gray. What a shameful excuse for Mayor!

People say they want change. I don't think anyone currently sitting on DC Council is a vote for change. It seems people on DC council think they're entitled to the position. I really think this. I need someone with real experience. Then if they are business as usual they should be voted out. The voters are just as smart and smarter than these city official . Voters need to play hard to get otherwise they'll keep getting promises no one could possibly keep. I always look at what a candidate promises. I know what's silly and what's plausible .. "Free metro cards for all DC kids " ~ Bowser really.. Thus sounds dangerous to me and just a way to get low income people to vote . What do you think ?

No, no, no. Wells is focussed on everything BUT his ward, looking to the mayoral race. And his education stance is willfully stupid. He's pandering as fast as he can.

And I agree with OP about Grey.

Who do you think should be elected? I agree his education policy is willfully stupid, but it is based entirely on the improvement that has happened in his ward, which he believes can be replicated in the exact same manner everywhere even though housing stock is not going through the roof monumentally with child-focussed neighborhoods in the same manner. Not to say that housing value is not increasing throughout the city, but not in the same manner. Giving neighborhood preference to a charter east or encouraging inboundary participation in schools east of the river is not going to have the same affect as having neighborhood participation in Brent. The poverty needs to be dealt with evenly, and by making it so that these children will be stuck being educated only with those that are also similarly poor, we are completely relegating them to continued poverty.

I think your only choice is to move out of the District completely.

It's not an answer to the question, but upcoming forums may help. I heard there is a Ward 3 forum on March 11 and Neighbors, Inc is planning one in Ward 4 a week earlier. Does anybody know of some coming up sooner or can anyone report how previous ones have gone or where videos migh be found?

Op here-agreed. I'm pretty much hoping Catania will run, but I know dc and know the democratic primary is really historically the election. I am trying to figure out which democrat to support and none if them have impressed me.

Dud you read the interview with him in Sundays post? He did not answer a thing-what a sketchy guy. He cannot be re-elected! I am not sure who to support-who are you voting for and why?
