The Jan. 15 appeal deadline is for those in grades 3-8 who applied to transfer into AAP for the second half of the school year and were denied in December 2013. These are kids who don't attend FCPS or came into FCPS after the deadline last year.

As for your school's informational meeting, if you're interested in AAP, go to the meeting. It's usually very informative regardless of whether your child is in-pool or you parent-refer. The optional materials are the same either way and you can get some useful ideas from the AART about those.[/quote]
