That's not it. People arrange childcare assuming that school will be in session absent some emergency. 2o degree weather is not an emergency. Some of us have to be at work and have commitments. It's not using school as babysitting to assume it will start on time absent extreme circumstances. By the way, I have an au pair, so it doesn't matter to me. I just get frustrated that some don't get why this is a hardship for others.[/quote]
