We're planning on using Hardiplank soon, so I am genuinely interested if there are maintenance issues I've not heard of before, but nothing I've seen here seems to have suggested that's the case.[/quote] Be careful when pressure washing it, hardiplank can easily get damaged.[/quote] vinyl or aluminum siding are both significantly softer than and would buckle much more easily than hardiplank. sure you need to always be careful with power washing it would still take much more pressure to damage hardiplank relative to other types of siding.[/quote]
