i complained to DH and he subscribed to glamour magazine for me and it isn't any help - there are some great outfits, but always the $500 range - and the knock off would look bad on me - too young. and they have a page where they suggest 5 pieces and give 30 ways to wear them, but its SOOO bad - they picked an ugly blouse (a big print orange and black number) from target or kohl's or somewhere and all the women "threw it on" over their regular outfits with big belts, or cute handbags and all i could think was "if you took that ugly shirt off, it would be a fine outfit,"

Banana republic used to be a staple in my closet, but now they carry so much volume that i can't tell what is good versus what's crap... and a lot of it seems to be crappy...

so i just feel hopelessly out of style and clearly, i don't even know where to look/go,

what should i do, fashion mavens of DCURBANMOM?

is there a blog or website where i can look at what is "in" and they figure out how to buy similar pieces?
should i get a personal shopper? how does that work? (not sure that is in my budget!)
what jeans are "good" for 36 year old mom?
