The only thing I ever thought was nice, was a quilt decorating activity. No, this was not in Amish land but in Clarendon. This really only worked b/c the hosts put a lot of thought and effort into it. They had all kinds of adorable pink fabric and such to put together quilt squares - shapes and things and letters so they didn't all look jacked up and awful - and we cut things out and designed our own little square for her and then we sowed (which was comical, but it worked) the little pieces on our square and then the hosts took it to a quilter who quilted the squares into a really cute baby blanket. The mom to be knew the sex and had picked a name, and the attendees where family and close friends who all got to make something really sweet and meaningful. I don't think this would work well for every shower, but it worked for this one. [/quote]
