As a friend of one of the people in town who used to put these on I can give you some guidance here. 1. The girls are most usually frumpy at best. Not willing to do what it takes to be attractive and in the mode of finding someone who will put up with their laziness. They hope the guy they find doesn't smell too bad or dress up like a furry animal and simulate sex with other furry animals at conventions on the weekends. These women are educated, but not succesful to the point they should be. Their laziness in looks translates to their job performance. Educated, but not dynamic. 2. Men know about point #1. We also know that girls worth dating don't need to be forced into situations to find guys. Girls worth dating get hit on everywhere, not just a pre-planned events. 3. The men that do go to these things smell and dress up like furry animals on the weekends and simulate sex with other furry animals at conventions. They do not have the confidence to approach women in the wild, so they must resort to hunting them in captivity (speed dating). There's something wrong with a guy who can not simply walk up to a woman he finds attractive and ask her to spend time with him. You'll find this out if you go speed dating. Give me your situation and I will give you a better solution - guaranteed.
Haha! OP here. That's what I suspected. Sigh. I am not trying to be egotistical but I am told I am a very attractive woman. When I go out I tend to get hit on by 20-somethings, and that is not what I am looking for. My issue is that I work from home, have my kid the vast majority of the time, and haven't had a lot of success meeting quality men online. I am trying to think outside of the box and do something I haven't already tried! But maybe this isn't it.
