Ignore that person. Snarky responding on DCUM is the only hobby for some, you'll see. Of course there are Target, Costco stores here. I don't find DCUM to be truly representative of the area, but definitely of one subculture of it. Not every person feels the need to claim superiority over other parts of the country.

I love it here, I moved here when I was in my early 20s, have made great friends who continue to be friends through marriages (divorces) and children coming into the picture. I wish my family were here and that fact may have me eventually moving to a different city eventually to be close to them.

Winters are pretty mild but your first winter will probably be LONG for you. Although, my grandparents are in FL and I guess you have been having colder winters recently anyway[/quote]
