CTY kids are a dime a dozen around here.[/quote] OP here, so true this area does have so many gifted/talented children! :D In part that is why I am having my 7th grader take the SAT. Last year, only a limited number of children nationwide (<100) scored high enough on the SAT during their 7th grade year to make the cut for this particular subset of the GT program. I am trying to determine whether my DC could be one of those 100 this year, based on what I know about DC's recent performance on the SCAT (as normed against 12th graders). That information may help some FFC parents in deciding whether to put their DC through the rigors of sitting for an SAT exam, by giving them a basis on which to evaluate their DC's chances. Also, as a Latina mom I would like to help my DC as much as I can. Thanks again, everyone, for any help you can provide. I truly appreciate this community! :D[/quote]
