I love my job! but my work environment is awful. My co-workers are always constantly making me feel bad, singling me out, etc. Basically, they are a team, and I am not part of it. I don't feel safe as things started to go missing. . . . "their source" told them I was meeting with our boss for an hour plus. --I simply replied, I am having a hard time with one of my case and needed my boss' input; which is the truth. I shouldn't feel like I can't have a conversation with my boss so I told them next time they should have their source check his/her facts before making an allegation. This is just so frustrating. Any advice?
It's you, not them. I would ask my co-worker what's up if he had a really long meeting with the boss, like is everything ok? The question was totally normal. You seem sort of paranoid, and I think that is why you have a hard time making friends at work. Try harder to quell any paranoid thoughts you might be having and just try to do small talk with your co-workers and SMILE, SMILE, SMILE.
