I am about to start a job as a live-in nanny/housekeeper they say its part time but I also said I would clean the house for more money they added $50 on to it its about an 8 bedroom large living room dinning room and common room lots of large windows. They want me to cook for them do the youngest child's laundry and cleaning and when they need it wake up early make all 4 kids lunch if they need it and get them on the bus. the Youngest one is 9 years old but has a lot of medical and mental health problems she is mentally about 5 years old has special needs is on a lot of medication and gets seizures sometimes. When both parents travel I would do all the house work sometimes they travel twice a month overnight. They also need a sitter for the young one every Saturday for a few hours so the family can go out they also will sometimes need me to pick up the youngest. the 3 older ones are two 14 year olds and one 15 year old. Its also about an hour away from my school where my classes are, they said I could work for other familys but if they want me to cook every night I dont know if I would be able to get much work. They want to pay me $250 a week for this and I live in the basement with my own bathroom. They had an au pair before. How much should I really be getting paid? And how do I go about asking them for this? Thanks
