I don't have a maid, so I don't have this problem. I always find it amusing when people will pay for a gym membership or a personal trainer and yet hire people to do all of the manual labor of day-to-day life, like house cleaning and yard work.
Right, because most of my gym workout involves reaching under things while crawling around on a tile floor.
It involves moving around, lifting things, going up and down stairs, et cetera. Going up and down (bending over and reaching up) actually raise the heart rate quite a bit. It's a low impact way to get cardio. Once upon a time, humans kept in shape by doing such things, as opposed to going to a gym. The "gym" is a modern, first-world invention.
And? If one wants to get maid service, what's the harm? Both the maid and the person hiring are getting the benefits.
