However, I think the top private schools (Sidwell, NCS, St Albans, GDS, Maret, Holton Arms, etc.) generally have higher academic standards/expections in high school than most of the public high school in this area; they are probably more similar (in terms of academic achievement) to the Magnet programs (such as Blair, Richard Montgomery, Thomas Jefferson).[/quote]
