PP: Sorry your kids 12:13 can't appreciate history. There is nothing wrong with Busch Gardens though. Just do not see any reason to have to choose between them. Won't it be too early for the waterparks? We did see kids dressed in period costumes, and a lot of boys with tricorner hats. We spent a 1/2 day at Yorktown, including lunch at the waterfront pub in town, the battlements and the Victory Center, which has farm animals BTW. On a sunny day it might be fun to play in the sand on the river beach there or do a tall ship tour. 1/2 day at Jamestown, including the discovery center (museum, indian village, ship and fort) and a short hike to the river, but not the park service (i.e. actual site) center. That is a beautiful area, would be fun for bike riding. 1/2 day at Williamsburg, could have got there earlier but the 4 year old would have pooped out. Spent a bit of time at the Kingsmill indoor pool, restaurants, riverfront marina & beach, and gameroom. If we had the whole week I would have gone over to the USS Monitor Museum, there is also Norfolk maritime museum, Portsmouth waterfront boat taxi & restaurants, and VA Beach if you are feeling adventurous. Canoeing on the Chickahominy. And there's an indoor bouncy house in north Williamsburg if the weather turns bad.
