How many (if any) admissions events do we need to go to when applying for a sibling? The admissions office knows us, our eldest child is well-liked and gets good grades, and we're active members of the community. Do we need to go to all of the admissions events?
We have three children and applied our middle child for pre-K when our eldest was in 1st (had attended since pre-K entry year) and attended zero admissions open houses. As our friend said, we’d already expressed $60K worth of interest for three years in the form of tuition for our older child and volunteered and donated etc. Unless there is an expectation that all applicants’ families go to open houses or there is a very large gap between kids or your second kid is older and would actually benefit from attending with you I don’t think there is any value.
