Seriously? The 1999 warhawks produced Abe Thompson and Clarence Goodson, both of whom played professionally (didn’t Clarence also make the world cup roster one year??) , not to mention about every other guy on that team playing d1 after graduation. I wouldn’t call them pay-to-play. Abe Thompson didn’t need to bribe anyone to let him on their team in the late 90s.[/quote]Yeah those two guys torched me back in the day. Our high school year book, on the boys soccer page, said something along the lines of “team strategy- pass the ball to Abe”. lol. Funny in retrospect given that Clarence had the more dominant career but man, they were both a treasure to watch on the pitch. [/quote]
