I'm the poster you asked originally. I am not getting into specifics b/c I don't want to give out details that could identify my dc.  Not sure why you are pressing.  If your dc gets in, do a thorough evaluation. I should have listened to my gut but sent dc anyway b/c "everyone says it's such a great school."  Again, not saying it's a bad place -- just wasn't right for my kid.  It may be perfect for yours and I hope you have a great experience there. Fwiw, my dc wasn't the only one to leave -- others from dc's grade did too. And in response to your probable next question, I don't know why they left. And even if I did, I wouldn't post it here.

There are just some parents who come on here and can't believe that anyone couldn't have as a great an experience as their dc is having. The reality is that it isn't the right place for everyone -- there is good and bad like there is at every school.[/quote]
