I'm the poster you asked originally. I am not getting into specifics b/c I don't want to give out details that could identify my dc. Not sure why you are pressing. If your dc gets in, do a thorough evaluation. I should have listened to my gut but sent dc anyway b/c "everyone says it's such a great school." Again, not saying it's a bad place -- just wasn't right for my kid. It may be perfect for yours and I hope you have a great experience there. Fwiw, my dc wasn't the only one to leave -- others from dc's grade did too. And in response to your probable next question, I don't know why they left. And even if I did, I wouldn't post it here.
Look, I'm not trying to be difficult and I'm not bad mouthing the school. There are just some parents who come on here and can't believe that anyone couldn't have as a great an experience as their dc is having. The reality is that it isn't the right place for everyone -- there is good and bad like there is at every school.
