Aș for Dufief, because of regional programming and magnet programs disbanding and growth in the area, Crown will be overcrowded unless Dufief is moved to QOHS. This explains the motive behind royally pissing off Brown Station. The writing is on the way. MCPS did it to make room for what they will do during the ES round. Dufief is substantially closer to QOHS as well as QOHS middle school feeders.

This makes a lot of sense but I am still a little confused about Fallsmead, can you clarify? The part of Fallsmead that is close to the current Wootton building would get moved to Lakewood (and Fallsmead is closed?) while the current Rio Island winds up at Fields Road? That would make FieldsRoad overcrowded but the parts near 28 could be bumped to Stone Mill or Dufief? Isn't this all the same group of kids they currently have at Wootton/Crown just being shuffled around? [/quote]

Fallsmead closes as moving their Rio island out would put them significantly underutilized. The Rio island ends up at either Fields Road or Rosemont, or even split between the two. Fields Road will definitely be overcrowded and have to bump kids. Some may end up at QO as I think Dufief is closing too. [/quote]
