This is sort of what I was thinking.  What kind of a color did you do?  I'm torn about whether it would look better to go a little darker than the oak wood tone, or stay lighter.  Our walls are light (like a whipped butter or vanilla pudding color on the walls).

I was at Home Depot picking up plants and saw some samples...what do you think about these?
