I am old.  Went to a nice, suburban school.  There were fights.  I don't recall any physical girl fights, but there were definitely boys who fought.

Exactly this. I grew up in upper middle class, mostly white suburbs and there were fights. Boys and girls. Some as vicious as this one, just no-one has a record of them. The difference, however, is that there was discipline. These girls probably won't even get suspended.[/quote]
