My DD got $22,500 for the tuition award and another $12,500 for the Loyola Scholarship totaling $35K a year.

What a weird thing to say. Any school that gives 35K in merit is working to attract high stats students relative to their own stats. Pretty much by definition, you can always "do better" or they wouldn't have offered the student that award.[/quote]

+1 Why do the ghouls on this board have to make comments like this? Perhaps this family is committed to a Jesuit education and they are chasing merit. Maybe the student is aiming for Georgetown, ND,or BC and this is just what sensible list building looks like. Either way your comments are ignorant and unwelcome on this thread.
