I've heard Fordham has gotten stingier with merit but we were pleasantly surprised by $36k total.
My DD got $22,500 for the tuition award and another $12,500 for the Loyola Scholarship totaling $35K a year.
35 ACT (superscore)
3.95 UW GPA w/ rigor
Catholic coming from a Catholic HS
Lots of service and faith activities

Unless you really, really need the money, with those stats I would hope you are aiming for better than Fordham. No offense to Fordham - lovely place - but you can do better.
What a weird thing to say. Any school that gives 35K in merit is working to attract high stats students relative to their own stats. Pretty much by definition, you can always "do better" or they wouldn't have offered the student that award.
