Pretty good weekend for CHRVA teams at Sunshine. Getting bids there is really hard - it's a big tournament with high quality teams and no one has bids yet, so there is no trickle down.

Metro 15 Travel coming in first is an incredible result - they won gold bracket matches against Legacy and Arizona Storm who finished 2nd and 3rd at Triple Crown.

Metro 16s, and Blue Ridge 14s and 15s were the beneficiaries of a new thing USAV is doing this season which is adding a 4th "provisional" bid to divisions/age groups at qualifiers with really large numbers of teams. What that meant is these teams didn't have to play the extra match for 3rd place to see who got the last bid. They very well might have won anyway, but giving both teams a bid means that neither team who had a really good weekend would go home empty handed. Personally, I like the idea of giving certain bigger qualifiers an extra bid - seems less subjective than the at-large process in which some mysterious committee gives out bids to teams who didn't earn one at a qualifier at the end of the season.
