Eastern and Sojourner Truth. EL Haynes. McKinley Tech. Trying to lottery into DCI with little success. If you have a younger kid, have them try for Latin in 5th and then your kid may get in as a sibling for 9th. If you have a boy EOTP, Gonzaga and St. Anselm's. Girl options are more limited.
Even my friends who have kids in private struggle to think of girls options. We’re friends with a lot of Parents with kids at TCS are not sure it’s worth it (the intensity level is up there). There are good Catholic options but it’s a long way if you’re EOTP.
This. The private schools are just so far if you have a girl. Even with a shuttle or carpool, it's a lot of time for the kid. Unappealing to pay that much and schlepp that far. We kicked the tires on this question pretty thoroughly for DD1 and ended up moving IB for BCC.
