One of my DCs has a 504 for reading so I’m ver curious about CKLA. Their scores dropped every time last year but are now slowly going up. The vocabulary continues to be low but the school doesn’t nothing to teach decoding skills to upper elementary grades. Instead, my kid was in a FIT group working on how to write the sentence style responses to word problems in Eureka Math where it asks to explain your thinking. My compacted math kid had a huge bump on the MAP-M (from average high to high). Unsure why there isn’t concern about the reading[/quote]
