July and August are hot at the peak of the day, but bugs are not a problem. June is the month for no-see-ums, but there is spray. But OP, do SC beaches in May, September or October if it is for a whole vacation. I garden at 7:00 a.m. and walk in the evening. If outside in the afternoon, I am in the pool.[/quote]
