FWIW, I was a virgin when I started dating DH (at 30).  So, it's not like I was promiscuous, but I want to make sure my kids are safe. My parents never ever talk to me about any of this stuff.  I was too afraid to be intimate, and I don't want my kids to have the same hangups, nor do I want them to be ignorant of their bodies, STDs and safe sex.
