Is this a regular sitter or a one time thing? Is the sitter an adult or a kid? Just one kid or multiple? How far and what is the weather?
Regular Sitter, Adult(Neighbor helping out), one, we’re in the DMV so it’s been cold but it’s warming up.
Generally I would say yes. That taking kids to the park is well within the scope of a regular sitter. My one question is that you are paying well below market rate and you describe it as “helping out”. If this is a win/win type situation where you get the benefit of paying under market rate, and she gets other benefits including working close to home, then it may be a dynamic where you don’t want to rock the boat or jeopardize a good thing. In that case I might ask if she is willing, but be open to the answer being no.
