Arlington Dance Conservatory Top notch instruction, really technical focus. Wont get all the bells and whistles of being in THE NUTCRACKER in DC, but their production ms are manageable for our schedule and still magical for the kids. They only have a few seniors each year, but they often go on to dance or to great schools otherwise. They are an offshoot of the defunct Adagio Ballet (but not the previous owners!)
Thank you! You mean Virginia Dance Conservatory, correct? This is one of the schools I’m looking at. Is their program director present and involved in everyday classes? As for Adagio, I’m not sure why they closed, but I believe DAV is also an offshoot. Do you know if the conservatory has a similar approach to DAV?
Sorry, yes, Virginia Dance Conservatory in Arlington. The two founders are very involved, still teach classes, etc. I am not familiar with DAV, so I can’t answer that one! Adagio closed at the beginning of the pandemic. Not sure the official reason, but probably would not have closed how it did had the pandemic not happened.
