Power outages will not be widespread because the power lines are dry and unburdened, and the trees do not have their canopy of leaves and therefore are less at risk of falling than in the summer. Make sure to cover up when you're out and about on Saturday, because frostbite can be an issue at these windchills, but other than that, you shouldn't worry too much.
We still had people without power for 3 days in a few neighborhoods in 2018. And that was in early March so no leaves on trees yet. It seemed like central and eastern Fairfax and Alexandria got hit worse than western, and I’m in Springfield so we were definitely affected. Idk I just have a bad feeling about this one. Hope I’m wrong though!
