NWS is predicting gusts to 60 mph and widespread power outages, CWG is a little more conservative predicting wind gusts 45-55 and spotty outages.
“ Tomorrow (Saturday): Wind gusts from the northwest of 45 to 55 mph and wind chills around zero. We may barely notice it’s sunnier than not, even with some midday clouds bubbling up. Daytime temperatures hover within a few degrees of 20. Spotty power outages are possible. Confidence: Medium”

We were without power for 2 days after the derecho and about a day and a half (36-ish hours) after the wind storm in 2018. Combined with the brutal cold and this could be a very hazardous situation for a lot of people. Seems like the wind situation will be worse the further north and west you are. Gas up your cars and be prepared to drive to a hotel if needed, and if you do have to leave, remember to drip your pipes so they don’t freeze!
