My fourth grader has been on the bubble for AAP and advanced math. She just scored 237 on 4th grade winter MAP and was a 218 in Fall. Would this Winter MAP score be considered when looking at her AAP referral this year? We submitted the packet in December so not sure if this January score is included. 237 seems like a strong 4th grade winter score. If your child is already in AAP, would you mind posting their winter score (out of curiosity as how other AAP kids already in the program are scoring).
My child has similar scores and has been in advanced math all year - meaning my child was selected for advanced math before any MAP testing occurred at all so I could not tell you if your child qualifies or not based on MAP scores, this is the first year they are using MAP and nobody knows if that is being used in AAP selection or not. We didn't reapply for AAP because math is the only difference anyway.
