Your degree is from the individual institution. you get a degree from Umd College Park specifically vs a degree from UMBC vs UMD Global Campus. Just like there is a difference in U Michigan Ann Arbor vs U Michigan Dearborn. There is also a difference between UofCal Berkeley and UCal Merced.
