Is this a new policy?  Of course, they only want you to try on if you will most likely buy, and they measure you to get you the right size, but they have never told us we couldn't try on.[/quote]
+1 my DC has tried on suits there many times over the years after being re-measured due to growth. We always purchase there (as recently as a few months ago). I wouldn’t feel comfortable asking a small business to measure and then turn around and order online.

To the PP - your DC should of course buy whatever size they prefer. That said, I personally wouldn’t go up a size from what the in-store professional recommends based on measurements. The fit is key to getting the most out of an expensive item. A bigger suit may mean it’s easier to put on or is initially more comfortable, but it might also mean you’re not realizing the benefits of wearing a tech suit. [/quote]
