If your kid is at a public high school in Maryland and takes MVC, he should be able to take the UMD Math Department exam at the end of 12th grade. If he gets a C or higher, he can pay thirty dollars and fill out a form and get the grade factored into his GPA and get UMD credit for the class. If he doesn't do well on the exam and doesn't want the grade on his UMD transcript, he doesn't have to get credit for it. He can just take the class again at UMD. So, yes, if he can, he should take MVC. Unless there is a reason not to we are not privy to.[/quote]
