I needed this in order to sell the house. The real estate agent said having a person with dementia sign would be too risky. It’s weird, though, that she could theoretically change her will at this point and give all her money to a stranger but was not even allowed to sell her own home. I worry my sibling will try to change the will because she stole some items from the house that we were supposed to divide up. If you can, I’d get the second sign off from a doctor now so you have really good documentation of the will is changed or challenged. And if you can be sure you know where the will is. [/quote]
