I wouldn't ED2 unless it's a school your DC really loves. But I would be optimistic about RD chances, though probably not at Stanford (sorry).[/quote]
Take the last chance at an ED2 - or suffer the vagaries of the RD round.[/quote]

Support your DC in their thought process/decision making around ED2, if one of those schools is high up on their list or if their main goal is the highest ranked school they get into ED2 could be the right choice.  However, it isn't right for everyone, some regret it and some students do well in RD[/quote]
