I think where people have paid parental leave, it is common to retain vacation days. [b]Whether it’s frowned upon would depend on the company culture. [/b] Not frowned upon at my place or work or my spouse’s.[/quote] This. Where my DH and I work this would be fine. We've done it, others have done it, no big deal. But I know people who work at companies where they felt uncomfortable even taking all of their parental leave, let alone vacation in the same year. [/quote]
