The school is a reliable feeder school for medical, law and business schools, especially in the area (USC, UCLA, etc.) Oxy's is Div III and used to have a decent football team, but that was discontinued in 2020 during pandemic. Oxy is big in social mobility and a very large percentage of incoming freshman are FGLI and URM from the LA area. During my time a sizable number of students come from the east coast boarding school scene, especially lacrosse players.[/quote]
