How can you say that the Metro National teams overlap with MD Jrs in terms of competitiveness when it is a brand new program? The Metro college showcases are open to the public, regardless of where a player plays club. If a player is good enough, they will get recruited. [/quote]
Currently, a Metro Travel team can have up to 15 players, and a Paramount 1 team can also have up to 15 players. The remaining top players are spread across various clubs: MD Juniors, VA Juniors, Blue Ridge, MVSA, VA Elite, American, BAVA, Liberty Elite, MOCO, Metro North...

The new Metro National teams, which will practice in Rockville and DC, should be able to attract players from nearby clubs such as MD Juniors, MVSA, VA Elite, Liberty Elite, MOCO, and Metro North. It only takes a few core players to make a team competitive — perhaps a good libero, a defensive specialist, one or two setters, and three or four hitters. If you can attract six to eight strong players, you will have a competitive team. I believe the Metro National teams will be able to do that.
