This question has been asked before in many of the different posts. What do you hope to gain from this? Validation? Everyone is gong to do what is best for their kids and situation.
Current rates. Gathering information. Perhaps there is not a consensus on what is best. Perhaps it is time parents advocate for youth sports. Perhaps it is time to stop the greed and bring back morals/values. From a parent who refused to pay club fees and still had a kid recruited, there is a vision where parents do not spend a college fund on a sport in elem/middle/high school. Or I am bored…..
Would love to hear how you bucked the trend. How did you get your kid recruited without playing for a club?
NHSLS and free agency. See as example: https://adrenalinesc.com/leagues/freeagentregistration/ Most tournaments have the ability to sign up. Coaches reach out. Normally play for free but if worth it, pay for a tournament. My kid got to play against great teams- with video that was sent to coaches. Coaches of all levels responded. This is NOT at all the point- the point is fees to play a youth sport consistently increases making the sport unavailable to kids unless the parents have pockets of cash. It isnt just club but high school teams as well. With the right data, right partners, a little effort —maybe the bleed can be stopped.
