[/quote] 3rd grade parent here and I hear you but to some extent this is a developmental issue. My kid has become less attentive and responsive to directions this year. It's hormones. She's more emotional, has developed new interests, and her attention is often divided. I have noticed the problem is MUCH more pronounced when she's around friends, so I'm guessing it's especially bad in the classroom. All of which is to say, thank you for the work you do with these kids! But know we are dealing with the same challenging behaviors at home and doing our best. Trust me when I tell you that I also get frustrated about repeating instructions or being ignored.[/quote]
