I love shake shack but this does not sound tasty!
Oh, please, it’s hardly revolutionary. Here is the description: A made-to-order quarter-pound per patty of 100% Angus beef topped with Gruyere cheese, caramelized onions, crispy sweet onions, and roasted garlic parmesan aioli on a toasted potato bun. So it’s a burger, cheese, 2 types of onion, and aioli. Not that weird.
It reads like there's too much going on but it is perfectly balanced. The caramelized onions were deep brown and rich, while most places half-ass grilled onions. And the crispy onions might sound gimmicky but they give it great texture so it doesn't have a mushy mouthfeel.
I agree. It was just a tad saltier than it needed to be, but I was seriously impressed. I ate the whole thing and when I finished, I really wished I had two bites more. I hadn’t even expected to like it all that much.
